日治时期台湾汉医之印象三例

The Impression of Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctors in Taiwan during Japanese Colonial Period

【摘要】
日治初期,开办总督府医学校来培养现代化西医,也同时为了有效控制台湾传统汉医的数量,制订「台湾医生免许规则」,举办汉医资格考试等多项「抑中扬西」的政策,使台湾汉医日渐式微。但台湾人民并未因此放弃传统医学,汉医亦在环境中求生,如叁加资格考试,汉医药学者与仕绅多次请愿,甚至在鼠疫、霍乱等疫情中投入防疫行列。

【Summary】
In the beginning of Japanese colonial period, the Japan government started Taiwan Soutokufu Medical School to raise modern medical doctors. Laid down rules to supervise the amount of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) doctors, held TCM qualifying exams. All these policies were to suppress TCM and to support modern medicine. As the result, TCM had been diminished gradually. However, Taiwanese people didn’t give up on traditional medicine. TCM doctors strove in this situation as well, such as taking qualifying exams, sending petition to the government, and invested in the works against epidemics.
